Ottawa Valley Fiber Arts (OVFA) was created to bring the best spinning, weaving and fiber related supplies to you. We serve spinners, weavers, dyers and fiber artists in the Ottawa/Gatineau region in person, and everyone else virtually! All of our products can be found in our webstore.
February's Fibre Box is full of Canadian luxury! Pure alpaca and cashmere rovings from Princess Farms in Saskatchewan are our main feature this month, while Cuddle Toes yarn from Sqwish make a yummy side to the box. Canada is certainly as big in fibre as we are in land mass! Feburary sold out, but you can purchase March on Etsy or at our online shop.
Wheel update: Millie has arrived to hang out with the Ittle Gem and Pioneer from Majacraft. As always, I'm tryin to keep inventory in stock so that you don't have to wait for Majacraft wheels to cross the ocean. The Louet S10 single treadle is falling victim to my birthday, but the double treadle is still unclaimed. I'm expecting an Ashford Traditional sometime soon as well!

I've had a lot of fun dyeing up yarn recently. There is a copy of The Yarn Lover's Guide to Dyeing in stock, as well as the Ashford Book of Dyeing and the Dyer's Companion. We have Ashford and Prochem Acid dyes for wool, silk and nylon, and Dylon cold water dyes for cellulose fibers.
OVFA will be giving 10% of all sales to the relief efforts in Haiti and Chile from Jan 1 to March 31st.
Many of the photos on this site are by Mike Wade on flikr. He takes fabulous photos of many things, including his spinning. Thank you Mike for letting me use some of your photos! He also is involved with the Men's Knitting Retreat, check it out.
